AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin-Travis County EMS says one person is dead following a rollover crash on Northbound Interstate 35, south of Slaughter Lane.

First responders were called to the 10100 block of South I-35, near Southpark Meadows Shopping Center, at about 9:35 p.m. Sunday.

Police say passersby called in information about a swerving pickup.

Investigators say the truck  hit the bridge wall and flipped into a creek.

EMS officials say a woman, believed to be in her 20s, died on the scene.

Medics freed another man and woman who were trapped inside the car and transported them to University Medical Center Brackenridge. Their injuries are potentially critical.

Police had the northbound lanes of I-35 closed as they investigated.
