Hawaiian Falls lifeguards rescue 2 people in separate incidents

HAWAIIAN FALLS

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — Two people are hospitalized after being rescued by lifeguards at Hawaiian Falls Water Park Saturday.

Park officials say an 83-year-old man felt dizzy and passed out while standing in the children’s area at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Lifeguards rushed to help him and began CPR. They also used a defibrillator on the man, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

Medics continued CPR as he was taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.

At about 4 p.m. Saturday, lifeguards also saved a child from nearly drowning in the children’s area at the park.

Paramedics took the child to Dell Children’s Medical Center in potentially critical condition. Park officials say she was alert and breathing as she was transported to the hospital.
