AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 60-year-old man is at the hospital after being found with a stab wound on Friday morning near the University of Texas Austin campus.

According to the Department of Public Safety, two men got into a fight around 7:25 a.m. underneath the bridge at the corner of 18th Street and Trinity Street.

During the altercation, a 52-year-old man took out a knife and stabbed the other man. The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to be released later today.

Authorities believe the two men are homeless.
