JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (NBC) — From a distance, the upright figure walking in one New Jersey neighborhood looked like a man, but it turned out to be much hairier.
A bear took a stroll on its hind legs through a residential area, looking just like a human.
It even appeared to chat with the person recording his journey on video.
Apparently, injured bears sometimes walk upright to compensate for wounded paws.
Someone at the local police department says they know there is an injured bear in town.
