Antone’s eyes a comeback

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Antone’s, one of Austin’s most historic music venues, could make a comeback with the help of a blues artist who got his start there.

Grammy award-winning musician Gary Clark Jr. is now joining the team of owners and investors working hard to re-open Antone’s in a new location.

Will Bridges has also signed on to help. Bridges was born in Austin and is involved with a variety Austin institutions, including Deep Eddy Cabaret, Lamberts Downtown Barbecue and Arlyn Studios.

“Will and Gary are tremendous additions to the Antone’s team, and we look forward to taking this iconic institution into the next phase of its storied life,” says owner Spencer Wells.
