CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Two people are dead and ten others are injured following a single vehicle crash in Caldwell County Saturday.

DPS troopers and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the rollover crash at SH 130 and FM 1185 shortly before noon.

A GMC Yukon was traveling south on SH 130 when one of its tires blew out. The SUV then went off the road and rolled several times, according to EMS officials.

When first responders arrived, they found eight people ejected from the vehicle. Four more were trapped inside the vehicle.

Two women, who EMS says were in their 20s or 30s, died on the scene.

The 10 other people all had critical injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals. Five of them were children between 3 and 15 years old. The rest were adults.

Multiple transport services, including STARFlight, Airlife and Methodist AirCare, responded.
