STAFFORD, Texas (AP) — Texas police have arrested a man in connection to the fatal shooting of a businessman at a poker game.
Stafford police made the announcement Thursday. It’s unclear if they’ve charged the man, who they say killed 45-year-old Donald Leonetti.
Police say the suspected shooter was one of two masked men armed with rifles who robbed the high-stakes poker game on July 17.
Leonetti owned a Missouri City graphics company that made T-shirts. He and a dozen others had gathered for an invitation-only game in a shopping center.
Police say the masked men asked the players to empty their pockets and took about $20,000. They say the robbers fired at least two shots inside the room.
The second shot grazed the neck of another player who survived.
