AUSTIN (KXAN) — A robbery suspect and his brother are now in custody, after a brief search in East Travis County Friday morning.
A Webberville Grocery employee said a man with a mask and gun came into the store at about 6:45 a.m., when two employees and four other people were inside. The employee reports the gunman fired a shot inside the store and told everyone to get in the back and to give up their cellphones. No one was hurt.
The suspect drove away, launching a search by Travis County Sheriff’s deputies. They focused their hunt on a neighborhood just north of Webberville Road and east of State Highway 130. Deputies had the suspect in custody by 7:10 a.m. A second man was arrested moments later.
Deputies have identified the suspects as brothers George Castillo, 28, and 25-year-old Mario Ray Castillo. Both men have been charged with aggravated robbery.
