HENRY COUNTY, Ga. (NBC/WXIA) — Police in Henry County, Ga., — south of Atlanta — are trying to identify a man who took $400 after finding it on the floor of a fast food restaurant.

Security video from the McDonald’s last Thursday shows a manager accidentally dropping four $100 bills on the floor.

Within seconds, a man headed to the drink station notices the money and quickly picks it up and puts it in his pocket.

He then goes back to the counter, picks up his meal, and walks out.

Police are hoping they can find the suspect — and charge him with a misdemeanor.

“This individual acquired items that didn’t belong to him,” said Henry County Police Lt. Joey Smith. “And the law states that he should have made some type of effort to try to help the victim reclaim their property.”
