Richard Dale Griffin, 60, is the owner of Kim-Soo Karate, police said. The victim had been one of Griffin’s students for about two years.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office said they received a report from Child Protective Services on July 24 alerting them of the incident. Hays County officers arrested Griffin Thursday afternoon, and with the help of the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, searched both his home and business.

The case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at 512-393-7896 or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-324-8477.

Griffin was booked into jail on two counts of sexually assaulting a child. If found guilty, he faces between 2-20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each of charges.
