Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin launches ‘Great Futures’ campaign

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin is launching a new program to support children in our community.

Chief Professional Officer Mark Kiester talked to KXAN News on The CW Austin about the Great Futures Campaign.

About the Great Futures Campaign

According to the website, it’s an “unprecedented initiative to mobilize our country around the issues facing America’s youth, raise awareness about the critical role of the Out-of-School Time, and empower the next generation on their path to a great future.”

The hope is that the launch will get nationwide attention through several key components, including issuing an online component. At 3 p.m., the “Bell Heard ‘Round the Web” digital disruptor will engage Boys & Girls Club celebrity supporters, corporate partners and employees, Clubs and alumni to raise awareness on social media and on websites. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
