Fire forces three people out of duplex off Riverside Dr.

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Fire burned a duplex in Southeast Austin early Wednesday morning.

The three people living in the duplex were not home at the time, but will have to find a new place to stay.

The fire broke out at about 3:30 a.m. at 2001 Kirksey Dr.  The Austin Fire Department reports an AFD crew was driving by and spotted the fire on the outside of the home.

The flames mainly burned the exterior of the home but did extend inside at some points.
