ROCK SPRINGS, Tenn. (NBC/WCYB) — A weak tornado caught on camera proves it still packs quite a punch.

This video was shot Sunday afternoon in Rock Springs, Tenn.

You can see the weak rope tornado moving beyond the tree line.

It might not look like much, but the twister proves it’s still a twister as it moves toward a clearing and some homes.

You can see the sparks from power lines as they are ripped down in the wind.

At least 10 homes have been destroyed in eastern Tennessee.

One woman who lost her home described what she saw.

“I was on my way home, and I saw the tornado,” said Leslie Kendrick. “I was coming across the parkway coming up Rock Springs Drive, and I saw the tornado in the air so I stopped. And I waited like five minutes, and I come down, when I hit that hill right there, and I saw the house. You can see it from there, and it was gone. So I drove around here, and it’s just totally devastated.”

Kendrick was also focused on finding her dog.

“Well, my dog was in the house, so I was afraid for my dog,” she said. “And I got here, and I looked for him and I couldn’t find him. And finally, about 10 minutes later, he came running out of the house — so just glad we weren’t here.”

Meanwhile, there have been no reports of serious injuries or deaths.
