AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 21-year-old woman was seriously injured earlier this month after being hit by a car passing by a crash on Interstate 35. The car then left the scene.

Police say two vehicles were pulled over along the northbound lanes of I-35 between Rundberg and Braker Lanes after being involved in a crash about 3 a.m. on July 5. The woman had gotten out of the car to inspect the damage when she was hit by another car. Police believe it was a 2002-2005 White BMW 745Li.

The car may be missing the driver’s side mirror casing and has possible damage to the front quarter panel and hood.

Anyone with information or is asked to call the Austin Police Department’s Leaving the Scene Unit at 512-974-8544.
