Thinkery event highlights learning childrens’ disabilities

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Thinkery children’s museum hosted a group raising awareness of learning disabilities in children as well as dyslexia and ADHD.

Eye to Eye is an organization based in New York City. They bring activities to children around the country to help them express themselves through art.

“It is important for us to spread our stories about dyslexia and ADHD [so they] don’t think they’re alone,” August Hunt, with Eye to Eye, said. “… growing up as a younger student, I always thought I was the only one with dyslexia and then joining Eye to Eye I realized I’m just part of a bigger picture.”

Austin isn’t their only stop. Eye to Eye is in the middle of a nationwide tour. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
