LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) — One person is dead following a crash at the intersection of State Highway 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Leander.

The Texas Department of Public Safety tells KXAN News deputies notified them of the crash at 12:32 p.m. Friday.

Troopers say a 2006 Harley Davidson was headed south on Ronald Reagan when it collided with a 2001 Toyota pickup heading westbound on Highway 29.

The motorcyclist, 69-year-old John William Hawthorne, was taken to nearby St. David’s Hospital where he died. The driver of the truck was not injured.

DPS officials said it was unclear who had the right of way.
