Congress returns with just 4 weeks to deal with crisis

(NBC) — Congress returns Monday with just four weeks before their next break to deal with the current immigration crisis.

By year’s end, 90,000 children without parents are expected to enter the U.S. from Central America illegally.

And Democrats and Republicans are at odds within their own parties.

Some lawmakers want to seal off the border.

The Obama administration is asking for $2 billion in emergency funds.

President Obama will be traveling to Austin for fundraisers, and he is also under pressure to visit the border to see the crisis firsthand. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
