ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A car hit a woman and her 1-year-old daughter as they crossed the road in Round Rock Friday night, police said.

The crash happened in front of Old Settlers Park around 9:15 p.m.

A Round Rock police spokesperson said the driver stopped and tested negative for alcohol.

Investigators say cars parked on the road may have blocked the driver’s view.

The woman was taken to Seton Medical Center with critical injuries. She is currently in a medically induced coma after emergency surgery.

The child was taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.
