2 shot at 4th of July party in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a pair of shootings near Stony Point High School early Saturday morning. Authorities believe they were connected to an Independence Day party.

The Round Rock Police Department received two calls about shots being fired around 12:53 a.m. Saturday, according to department spokesperson Angelique Myers

Myers said one call came from Matagorda Drive, where a woman in her 20’s reported being shot in the hand. She drove herself to a nearby emergency room, according to a spokesperson for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

The other call was from nearby Aransas Cove, where police say a man was shot in the leg.

Officials said no one has been arrested in connection to the shootings. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. Round Rock police are assisting.
