Woman nearly drowns at Emma Long Park

AUSTIN (KXAN) –  Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a call for a near drowning Friday morning.

A call came in at 11:29a.m. that a woman in her 20’s was drowning in the lake at Emma Long Park.

When first responders arrived the woman was thought to be receiving CPR by bystanders.

She is said to be responsive and will be transported to UMC Brackenridge with non-life threatening injuries.

EMS was also working a near drowning at 6000 Longhorn Landing.

The man in that call was said to be out of the water and responsive.
