AUSTIN (KXAN) — The River Plantation Bridge in the Onion Creek neighborhood is back open to traffic and the timing could not have been more perfect for a Fourth of July parade!

The bridge was damaged during the Halloween floods.

On Friday morning, the neighborhood held a ribbon cutting for the bridge as well as a parade.

The bridge was lined with eight balloon towers — since it took eight months for the bridge to be repaired.
