Dad charged in son’s death to find out if he’ll stay in jail

GEORGIA (NBC) — Justin Ross Harris is charged with murder and second-degree child cruelty for the death of his 22-month-old son last month.

Harris will face a probable cause hearing on Thursday in which a judge will determine if there is enough evidence to keep him in jail.

Harris had told police he forgot the child was strapped into his car seat when he went to work.

Investigators have been combing through electronics taken from the Harris’s home. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
