(CNN/SEVEN NETWORK AUSTRALIA) — A Qantas Airways flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne, Australia was forced to turn back after a water pipe started leaking.

One passenger said the water seeped through the floor Tuesday night and rained on passengers in economy class below.

The Airbus 380 landed safely back at Los Angeles, and Qantas put passengers up in a hotel overnight.

In a media release, Qantas said, “There were no safety or flight concerns with the water leak. However, the captain decided to return to LA in the interests of passenger comfort.”
