Leander PD catch six people connected to vehicle burglaries

LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) — In the past two days, the Leander Police Department has managed to catch six suspects they believe are responsible for several car burglaries throughout the city.

The first case on Tuesday netted three arrests. According to police, around 4 a.m., officers responded to the 220 block of Grand Lake Parkway for a 911 hang-up call.

After an investigation of vehicle burglaries in the area, officers arrested Domenic Reed, 17; Kyler Shelton, 17; and Michael Denmon, 18, and charged all of them with engaging in organized criminal activity.

On Wednesday around 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a suspicious incident in the 1100 block of Laurel Glen Boulevard. Officers were able to arrest Mitchell Patton, 17, and a juvenile male. Another 17-year-old with this group was released due to medical issues but a warrant will be issued for his arrest.
