CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) – This weekend’s shooting that left a man dead outside of a gun show in Cedar Park likely won’t result in charges, Cedar Park Police told KXAN.

Police say the shooting appears to be accidental and that the weapon involved was not purchased at the gun show. Officers tell KXAN Jared Charles Priddy brought the weapon from home.

Police say John Glover Warden, 59, was shot inside a car in the parking lot of the Cedar Park Center shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday. He suffered a single gunshot wound and was taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, where he later died.

Warden was the pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Jarrell and the secretary of the Southern Baptist of Central Texas Association. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
