Man charged with murder after Travis Co. stabbing

TRAVIS COUNTY (KXAN) — Police have charged a man with murder after a stabbing in Northwest Travis County Saturday.

Police were called to the 14000 block of Summit View Drive shortly after 3:00 p.m..

According to court documents, deputies say Cecil Clarence Kite Jr., 33, fatally stabbed Johnny Dodson Jr., 42, inside a trailer.

A witness told Deputies that when Kite walked out of the trailer, he asked him what happened. Kite simply pointed to the sky and walked away.

Deputies found Kite walking on a nearby street an hour later with bloody pants and no shirt. He told investigators he was inside the trailer with Dodson when Dodson told him he had sex with Kite’s girlfriend.

According to the arrest report, Kite says he stabbed Dodson after a fight and threw the knife into a field. Deputies found a bloody knife where Kite told them he threw it.

Kite was charged with murder and was booked into the Travis County Jail on $250,000 bond.
