Motorcyclist killed after falling from flyover

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The northbound ramp from MoPac to northbound U.S. Highway 183 in Northwest Austin was closed for several hours as police looked into a deadly crash there on Friday.

A woman on a motorcycle lost control and went over the flyover about 3:10 p.m., authorities said. She died at the scene.

The southbound service road along MoPac was also closed at the interchange during the investigation.

Police could be seen on Texas Department of Transportation traffic cameras looking over the guardrail to the scene below.

Authorities said no other vehicles were involved.
