NEAR EAST BERNARD, Texas (CNN/KTRK) — Authorities are investigating a gas explosion near a compressor plant in Wharton County, Texas.

Emergency management officials say a gas line next to a compressor plant blew out.

It destroyed the roadway and caught a nearby truck on fire.

Flames shot up as high as 150 feet.

One person had a minor injury and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Authorities cut off gas to the line and were letting the fire burn itself out.
