Plane crashes into home and sparks large fire

SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (CNN/KARE) — Authorities say a small plane crashed into a house in the Central Minnesota city of Sauk Rapids, causing a large fire.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was hurt.

The Sauk Rapids police chief confirmed a single-engine plane hit the home Friday night.

The homeowner told a local newspaper that his brother-in-law was in the house at the time but got out safely.

However, authorities could not yet say what happened to the pilot.
