AUSTIN (KXAN) — The University of Texas Police Department received a report of a sexual assault early Saturday morning at San Jacinto Residence Hall.

According to a UTPD spokesperson, the victim and two suspects know each other, and the suspects are cooperating with police.

“We take all reports of assault very seriously, and we investigate thoroughly,” said UTPD spokeswoman Cindy Posey. “The safety of our students is our top priority.”

UTPD continues their investigation, and no arrests have been made. However, officials say there is no threat to campus.

Students are urged to report assaults to UTPD at 512-471-4441.
