BAYTOWN, Texas (AP) — Houston-area authorities say they’ve arrested three brothers for the execution-style slayings of two young rappers in 2004.

Baytown police said Friday that 32-year-old David Lee Sanchez is charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of Juan Grimaldo and Fernando Salinas, both 19, at an apartment complex. Investigators say 35-year-old Jason Sanchez and 31-year-old Pedro Sanchez assaulted the teens before they were shot.

Investigators say the trio has confessed to their roles.

The Houston Chronicle reports the case was reopened in March 2013 when a person brought new information to police.

Investigators say the killings were a case of mistaken identity. They say the brothers thought the teens were responsible for robbing their grandmother at gunpoint.

David Lee Sanchez is being held without bond at the Harris County jail.
