AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police plan to let motorcycles park on Sixth Street this weekend for the Republic of Texas Biker Rally, despite new restrictions.
- Late-night parking on Sixth Street to end
- Downtown lot now allows overnight parking; city wants more to get on board
Last month, the city stopped letting cars park on Sixth Street between Red River and Brazos from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursdays – Sundays.
The rule won’t apply to motorcycles this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
If you’re driving a car and are parked on Sixth Street during the restricted hours this weekend, plan to get towed.
