AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Community College Riverside campus was placed on lockdown on Tuesday after a citizen spotted a man with a gun in a nearby library.

Austin police were able to find the man at the Ruiz Public Library and the issue was resolved. Weapons are allowed in the library if you have a concealed handgun license, police said.

Police said the man was not threatening anyone.

The campus was placed on lockdown as a precaution about 4:30 p.m. because of their close proximity to the library. The lockdown was lifted about 10 minutes later.
