South Korean aquarium divers have underwater soccer show

SEOUL, South Korea (NBC/RTV) — The audience was amused, but the sardines — maybe not so much.

A diver at a South Korean aquarium put on an underwater soccer performance Monday to show support for the national team at the 2014 World Cup.

Sardines in the water with the diver scattered as he kicked the ball under water.

Members of the audience said they hoped South Korea’s national team would perform well at the World Cup.

South Korea is grouped with Belgium, Algeria and Russia in Group H of the World Cup Finals.

The tournament kicks off Thursday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
