Man killed in crash near New Braunfels High School

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KXAN) – A 34-year-old man is dead following a violent crash Monday morning in New Braunfels.

Police say 34-year-old Justin Reid Bohmann of Kendalia, Texas was headed eastbound on Loop 337 around 8:15 a.m. when a SUV failed to yield and pulled out in the roadway.
The SUV hit Bohmann’s van causing it to spin and rollover into the New Braunfels High School parking lot where it hit two parked cars.

Police say he was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle.

Loop 337 was closed for about 3.5 hours while police investigated the accident.
