Bus driver helps duckling after police and city couldn’t

GATINEAU, Quebec, Canada (NBC/CBC) — A duckling in trouble caught the attention of a neighborhood in Canada this week.

The little duckling fell into a sewer drain and couldn’t get out.

He’d paddled himself into exhaustion, and it looked like he might not make it when a number of people came to the rescue.

After the city and local police said they couldn’t help, a passing bus driver rolled up his sleeves and reached right in.

The little thing seemed terrified at first, but then it happily waddled off and was reunited with its mother and siblings.
