(CNN/NASA) — NASA has released what it calls one of the most colorful deep-space images of the universe ever captured by the Hubble Telescope.

NASA officials said this composite image includes about 10,000 galaxies going back to within a few hundred million years of the Big Bang. It was created during nearly 850 orbits of the Earth by the telescope from 2003 to 2012.

What makes this one different is the addition of ultraviolet light. The Hubble Space Telescope, which is now 24 years old, is a joint project between NASA and the European Space Agency.
