UT hosts U of H in super regional

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The University of Texas Longhorns will host the University of Houston Cougars in a baseball super regional this weekend.

UT knocked off Texas A&M Monday in regional action in Houston. U of H defeated LSU to advance to the super regional round.

The NCAA announced the Austin would host the best-of-three matchup Tuesday morning.

The games will be played Friday at 3 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. (if necessary).

The winner of this weekend’s matchups will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
