TEHRAN, Iran (NBC/EBU) — Iran’s capital looked like an apocalyptic scene as a massive sandstorm roared through the city.

The skies over Tehran turned red-orange as a wall of sand hit the city late Monday.

At least three people were killed, and more than two dozen were injured.

Video showed a huge cloud of sand and dust rolling over Tehran, accompanied by wind strong enough to break tree branches.

After the storm passed, it left damaged cars and debris-littered streets.
