Police need help locating burglars on the run

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man and woman are on the run after robbing a residence and stealing a car located on the property, now police are asking for the public’s help to find them.

According to the Austin Police Department’s burglary and auto theft detectives, the two people pictured above broke into a person’s garage on the night of Sunday, May 18 and stole a wallet and a black Hardrock Mountain bike. They were also able to retrieve the car keys to the victim’s Ford Fusion which they took from the driveway.

The suspects were found later through surveillance video attempting to use the stolen credit cards at several locations in South Austin. The Ford Fusion has not been recovered yet.
