AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Circuit of the Americas racetrack said they will not have any type of fan shuttles to this weekend’s X Games.

For the Formula 1 Grand Prix, COTA has provided shuttles from downtown Austin to the track.

In a statement about the X Games, COTA said they:

“anticipate all X Games Austin guests will be able to park on site, or take a taxi to the circuit this weekend.  They also have the option to ride their bikes to the Circuit as is the case with all of our events.”

“While we are certainly hoping for a very healthy turnout for X Games Austin, we do not anticipate the crowd to be as large as it would for a Formula 1 race in Austin.”

COTA has approximately 25,000 parking spots on site.

Parking on-site for the X Games ranges from $15 for a day pass to $75 for premium parking for the three days.

Road Closures

Downtown road closures for the X Games first year in Austin downtown started Tuesday.

The roads will re-open at noon on Friday.

If you usually take Capital Metro down Congress, many buses are being rerouted to Lavaca and Guadalupe.
