Austin (KXAN) – Saturday marks one year since the widest tornado in recorded history touched down in El Reno, Oklahoma. Eight people lost their lives, and more than 150 were injured.
Of the eight casualties, four were storm chasers. Storm chasers like Austin Anderson, who sustained terrible injuries after being caught in the twister’s path.
A former KXAN employee, Anderson sat down with Erin Cargile and Meteorologist David Yeomans to talk about that day, and how his life has progressed over the past year.
