Austin kids to learn about careers

Austin (KXAN) – The Austin Youth Council is trying to help some local kids get the information they need to succeed.

Career Fest and Exploration is geared towards high school students concerns that they may not have enough information and opportunities to find out about future careers in the community.

More than 50 businesses and organizations will discuss career and job options, internship possibilities and volunteer opportunities.

The fest takes place Saturday from 10a.m. until 2p.m. at the Palmer Events Center. It is free and open to all students.
