Man uses child to unplug security cam in break-in

NORTHWOOD, Ohio (NBC/WNWO) — A man used a child to help him cover up a crime in Ohio, and so far, he’s gotten away with it.

This is video from a security camera that was inside a laundromat in Northwood.

It shows the suspect walking around.

A few minutes later, the man is seen lifting a toddler above his head and instructing the child to grab wires leading to a surveillance camera.

The man and child were successful in disabling that camera, but they didn’t stop to consider that another camera was watching them and taking these pictures.

The man then broke into a storage room.

A woman was also with them; she was actually doing laundry.

Police are hoping this video will help them find the suspects.
