DALLAS (AP) — Three Dallas high school seniors headed for their graduation rehearsal have been seriously hurt when their car crashed.

One of the victims is hospitalized in critical condition. His two companions are listed in fair condition.

The three are students at Dallas’ Lassiter Early College High School.

Witnesses and police say their car was speeding and swerving in and out of traffic when the driver lost control while trying to pass a truck Thursday. The car hit a curb, spun and slammed into a light pole.

Students at the school can graduate with at least 60 college credits. Their graduation ceremony is Saturday.
