Drug bust in Fayette County motel

FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Fayette County officials found marijuana, crystal meth and other drug paraphernalia after they searched a Motel in La Grange.

The Narcotics Unit of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office served the search warrant at a room in the Carter Motel on Wednesday with the help of two investigators, Deputy David Smith and La Grange Police Sergeant Troy Stevens. Once they were inside they recovered marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities arrested Jacob Morales, 27, for the possession of marijuana, and possession of controlled substance. Morales had two other outstanding warrants from Victoria County for theft and failure to appear in court. He was taken into custody and held with a $4,500 bond.
