PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — A police chase that started in Bastrop County came to an end in Pflugerville on Tuesday afternoon.

Police tried to stop 31-year-old Valene Davis on State Highway 71 and Tucker Hill Lane about 1:45 p.m. after she failed to signal a turn, the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office said. She led police east along Highway 71 into the city of Bastrop before turning around and heading back into Travis County, officers said.

The vehicle then turned onto State Highway 130 and drove north to Pflugerville. The chase came to a stop at the Stone Hill Town Center, near Farm to Market 685 and State Highway 130.

Police said the vehicle was able to avoid about eight spike strip deployments and reached speeds of 90 mph during the hour-long pursuit.

Investigators said passengers in the vehicle were throwing unknown items from the vehicle, according to the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office.

Davis, of Austin, was booked for evading arrest with a vehicle and a parole violation stemming from forgery charges.

Andew Hess, 30, of Del Valle, was arrested for a parole violation from past aggravated robbery charges.

More charges may be filed after the investigation is complete, police said.

Department of Public Safety troopers, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and Pflugerville Police assisted with the pursuit.
