Austin (KXAN)- There is a high probability that as you’re reading this you have a tab open with some sort of social media. Or, you got here from a link we posted on Twitter or Facebook.

Just admit it, you could possibly be considered an addict. Maybe you’re fine with that, but local mom and blogger Jamie Ivey did not like how social media was running her life.

The mother of four decided to quit cold turkey until August. When some of Ivey’s friends heard about it, they wanted to do it, too.

Ivey and Meghan McCamant sat down with KXAN’s Erin Cargile on KXAN News Today to chat about the big challenge.
