LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) — Rumors were swirling that Leander ISD students involved in a senior prank would not receive their diploma. However, the district says that is not the case.

An online petition suggests the district is not allowing one of the students involved graduate. A district official tells KXAN the student will walk the stage and receive a diploma.

A goat was on the roof of Vandegrift High School for a few minutes Friday morning as part of the prank.

Leander ISD officials say the agriculture teacher removed the goat and took it to a local farm.

The district says the students, who chained the goat to the roof and erected a “14” on the side of the building, will face disciplinary actions.

The students apparently got the idea from an episode of the Brady Bunch.
