GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) – A Georgetown home sustained significant damage after it caught fire Friday afternoon.
Georgetown Fire Department Chief John Sullivan says no one was injured in the blaze at a multi-story home in the 300 block of Norwood Drive. Crews were dispatched to the home near Leander Road and Interstate 35 at about 4:20 p.m.
When firefighters arrived heavy flames and smoke were coming from the house, Sullivan said.
A young adult was at home when the fire started, but escaped to safety.
